My experience began in 1995 with plenty of Microsoft Access database programming and Microsoft Access development experience. Database development will always have an important place in our business. Next, we began to work with Borland’s Delphi programming language and other desktop databases such as Paradox. I focussed on database importing, exporting, reporting and records processing. In 2003 we began to also focus on web application development with IIS and the .NET framework. In 2007 we began writing web services and .NET client / web server applications as the industry seems to be moving in this direction.
We emphasize software design and database design using normalized databases. We spend a lot of time upfront in designing and in communication until both parties believe the proper amount of time has been spent and we are ready to move forward. When a client specification is developed it assists in decreasing ambiguity, errors and increases understanding, flexibility and functionality.
The business started officially in 2000 with the name “Office Activate” and later a spin-off sister company was started with its own web site in 2007 called “Hamilton Web Design”. Our customer service area is Hamilton, Ancaster, Brantford, Burlington and the surrounding areas in South Western Ontario Canada.
Our strong belief is in serving the customer and in integrity. Up front communication is important as well as understanding each other’s needs.
